Introduction

Welcome to the Land Resource Manager Web User Guide.  

Trimble Forestry has been improving various capabilities of LRM to further our “Connected Forest” initiatives and evolve LRM as a platform to support forestry management for GIS professionals, business users, and field users via desktop, web, and mobile devices. 

LRM Web is designed from the ground up to support workflows that manage LRM content via web-browsers as part of our platform strategy that includes Desktop, Web, and Mobile workflows. 

LRM Web supports all the popular browsers including Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Safari. Please note there is performance degradation on Microsoft Internet Explorer so the use of this browser is not recommended for accessing LRM Web.   

LRM Web works with your existing LRM Desktop configuration and provides viewing and editing for data and map features.  The Web functionality available will eventually achieve about 80% of the desktop capability.

NOTE: ArcGIS GIS Server Standard is required to enable feature services for editing.  ArcGIS GIS Server is offered in three editions - Basic, Standard, and Advanced.  LRM Web requires ArcGIS GIS Server Standard for editing capabilities, though ArcGIS Server Basic will work fine for view-only web experiences.
