CFForest - Land Resource Manager 6.2.0.42. July 3rd, 2024..
This section describes the functionality available in the Browse (Data view) which is accessed from the Main Menu via Browse, Search, or Favorites.
There are many ways to change the data view including sorting, changing column order, filter, and more.
The rows in the Data View can be sorted by the fields in the grid simply clicking on its header. To switch the sort order from ascending to descending, or vice-versa, click on the column header again.
The width of each column can be modified by dragging the edge of the header to make it wider or narrower.
You can also modify the order of the fields displayed in the grid simply dragging and dropping the column header to the position where you want the column to be displayed.
Additional customization can be applied to the Data View
The Data Views Properties has two sections: Grid Settings and Visibility Settings.
The Grid Settings section lists the groups of columns and they can be expanded to display the list of columns clicking on the group’s arrow.
Ordering Groups and Columns
You can move the order of the Groups and the Columns by clicking on the left most column (icon with 6 dots) and then dragging and dropping them in the desired position.
Show/Hide Columns
You can select which columns are displayed or hidden.
Summary
You can also display summary information for the different fields. The summary options are: Sum, Average, Minimum, Maximum and Count; for example, calculate the sum for the GIS Acres column.
Grouping
The rows in the Data View can also be grouped at multiple levels; for example, rows can be grouped by Stand Class (Group Order 0), and then by Cover Type (Group Order 1).
In the Visibility Settings section you can control Word Wrapping, Filters, Required Fields, Header Panels.
Enable Word Wrap
You can activate the Word Wrap option to automatically wrap long sentences.
Enable Filters
You can also filter the rows in the Data View.
Once you activate the Filtering option, you can enter the filtering conditions picking up the desired values using the filter icon on the right-side of each column header, or you can enter expressions on the section below the column headers.
The options to enter your filter condition will differ depending on the column’s data type.
For numeric and alphabetical fields you can pick the value(s) from the list of values in the grid.
Alternatively you can click on the magnifying glass icon to select a filtering condition and keying the value for the expression.
For Date fields, you can pick the date clicking on the filtering icon and drilling down by Year, Month and Day. Only the dates present in the Data View are available.
Alternatively you can pick a date using the calendar as shown below.
You can also enter an expression clicking the magnifying glass and entering values for the expression. E.g.: Dates greater than ‘01-Mar-2020’.
For dropdown fields you can also use either the filter icon or the dropdown control below the column header.
Only Display Required Fields
In the Visibility section you can also quickly switch to display only the required fields activating the “Only Display Required Fields” option. It automatically sets all required fields as visible and hides all the other fields.
Display Header Panel
If the Header Panel is configured for the context, you can control its visibility here too.
From the Data View you can place any record into a Favorite list by clicking on the star icon and you will be prompted to select a previously created Favorite list or to create a new one. If you are familiar with LRM Desktop, this feature is similar to the LRM Desktop’s Working Set.
You can search the Data View by simply typing the text to be searched. As you type, it filters the data, displaying only the rows that have values matching the entered text. This process searches even the columns that are hidden.
The searched text is highlighted in the grid if the value is visible. If the text match is in a hidden column, then nothing will be highlighted in the row.
The search is currently limited to the main data view and not available in child data views.
For contexts that were configured as Master-Detail, the Detail contexts can be reached by clicking on the right-arrow icon on the first column of the Master context.
To collapse and hide the Detail grid, click on the down-arrow on the Master context.
The number of rows displayed in the grid can be selected by clicking on the different options listed below the data grid. A summary of the visible records of the total records available is included in the footer.
Filtered drop-downs are implemented in LRM Web. Drop-downs are filtered based on Admin Units, if configured to do so. NOTE: Context Lookup is not supported in this release and we will update in future releases.
Searchable drop-downs are implemented in LRM Web, once you specify the "maxLookupCount" in appsetting.json file, it will determine if drop down is searchable or normal.
The administrator can change the column header name. Instead of updating column display names using Data View Property, the user can click into column header and change the column display names
Click into column header , then cursor indicator will show
Update column name
Move away from the column header inline editing, then it will auto save.
You can directly edit Drop Down value from the grid column header
Click on the Edit button on the column header, then this will open new pop up with related validation table manager
Once the validation table is opened then, you will be able to add or update values.
Note: Delete is available through Setting > Validation Table
You can easily navigate the contexts that are part of the hierarchy of the current context clicking on the items in the Breadcrumb control on the top portion of the screen. Clicking on the down arrow in the Breadcrumb control displays the child contexts for that level and you can click on them to quickly navigate to the selected entry.
In cases where the hierarchy is long, the contexts high in the hierarchy will be replaced with ‘...’, but you can still access them by clicking on ‘...’.
The Data View now supports a simple Form View with navigation between records.
You can increase and decrease the size of text in the data view by pressing the CTRL key and rolling the mouse wheel up or down. The same can be achieved using the keyboard, pressing the CTRL key and the ‘+’ key or ‘-’ key (if you are using Safari as the web-browser, press the Apple key and the ‘+’ key or ‘-’ key).
The zoom level this results in is applied to all data views for a consistent experience. The zoom level is persisted from one LRM session to the next on a particular machine by saving it in the registry. This change does not affect the font size for configurable forms, the toolbar, or the tree view navigation.
