TPSD students in grades 3-8 and Civics/Government will take the LEAP Social Studies Field Test in the spring of 2024. The state will not release the scores of this field test to districts since this assessment is to gather information about item performance, not student performance. TPSD is committed to ensuring that students are prepared for LEAP Social Studies Field Test by aligning instruction and classroom assessments to the 2022 K-12 Louisiana Student Standards for Social Studies.

TPSD students in U.S. History will take the LEAP 2025 U.S. History assessment in the spring of 2024. The score on this assessment counts for the final grade, 1/5 of the average, of the class. The LEAP 2025 U.S. History assessment is also a graduation requirement. TPSD is committed to ensuring that students are prepared for this assessment by aligning instruction and classroom assessments to the Louisiana Student Standards for U.S. History.
