TPSD students in grades 3-8 and Civics/Government will take the LEAP Social Studies Assessment in the spring of 2026. TPSD is committed to ensuring that students are prepared for LEAP Social Studies Assessments by aligning instruction and classroom assessments to the 2022 K-12 Louisiana Student Standards for Social Studies.

TPSD students in U.S. History will take the LEAP 2025 U.S. History assessment in the spring of 2026. The score on this assessment counts for the final grade, 1/5 of the average, of the class. The LEAP 2025 U.S. History assessment is also a graduation requirement. TPSD is committed to ensuring that students are prepared for this assessment by aligning instruction and classroom assessments to the Louisiana Student Standards for U.S. History.
