Terrebonne Parish School District is committed to providing a high-quality social studies curriculum that is aligned to Louisiana state standards. At each grade level, the district has chosen a Louisiana Department of Education Tier 1 curriculum when/if available. The Louisiana Department of Education is still in the process of reviewing the submitted high-quality curriculum for social studies for the 2022 K-12 Louisiana Student Standards for Social Studies. 

Terrebonne Parish School District teachers are implementing the new 2022 K-12 Louisiana Student Standards for Social Studies in the 2023-2024 school year.
