Math
Terrebonne Parish School District is committed to providing a high-quality math curriculum that is aligned to Louisiana state standards. At each grade level, the district has chosen a Louisiana Department of Education Tier 1 curriculum when available. Tier 1 materials meet the 3 elements that are necessary for strong math instruction. The 3 elements are focus, coherence and rigor.
Louisiana Student Standards in Math
The Louisiana mathematics standards were created by over one hundred Louisiana educators with input by thousands of parents and teachers from across the state. Educators envisioned what mathematically proficient students should know and be able to do to compete in our society and focused their efforts on creating standards that would allow them to do so. The new standards provide appropriate content for all grades or courses, maintain high expectations, and create a logical connection of content across and within grades.
Math Curriculum K-8
Students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade use the Eureka Math Squared curriculum.
Student Resources
Students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade have 2 student books.
The Learn book contains all materials needed for the daily lesson.
The Apply book contains additional practice and other family resources.
Students in 6th through 8th grade have 1 student book, which is the Learn book. The Learn book for these grade levels contains a Recap to summarize the lesson's key content

Practice Partners
In every 1-5 Apply Book
The practice partners provide examples of problems like those worked on in class and the thinking that helps students solve those problems. This is a resource to support families that are working on the Practice and Remember problems at home.
Family Math Letter
In every 1-5 Apply Book
This provides a Topic overview that includes a content narrative, images of models and strategies, and key terminology. It also includes activities that can be done at home or at school. (In Kindergarten these are in the Learn Book)
Recap
In every 6-8 Learn Book
This is a summary of the main learning in the lesson. The summary includes definitions, additional problems like those completed in class. This resource is intended to be additional support and can be used to preview or review lesson concepts.
Math Curriculum 9-11
enVision AGA
Students in Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2 use the enVision A|G|A curriculum.
enVision A|G|A invites students to engage in meaningful mathematics. Real-world topics are embedded throughout the program in problem-based learning, examples, and exercises.
Student resources include access to a hard back textbook, a student companion workbook, and digital access to curriculum and assignments through the online platform. Students should log in to the platform through Clever.
