Sarah Adams

Math Curriculum Specialist - Email

Sarah Adams has served as the Math Curriculum Specialist for Terrebonne Parish School District since 2017. Prior to becoming a curriculum specialist, Sarah taught math courses at Ellender Memorial  High School for 10 years (2003-2013), including Algebra 1 & Geometry.  She then taught mostly Geometry courses at Terrebonne High School for 4 years (2013-2017).  Sarah earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education from Nicholls State University in 2003 and a Master of Science in Education from Nicholls State University in 2007. She was recognized as Ellender Memorial High School Teacher of the Year for 2005. In her role as a curriculum specialist, Mrs. Adams supports teachers, instructional leaders, and administrators with the implementation of Math curriculum in grades 3-12. 


Angelle Bergeron

K-2 Curriculum Specialist

Angelle Bergeron has served as the K-2 Curriculum Specialist for the Terrebonne Parish School District since 2020. Native of Houma, Louisiana, Mrs. Bergeron graduated from University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1997 where she received a bachelors in Speech Pathology. After working with dyslexic children for a year in Lafayette, she moved back home to pursue elementary education. She went on to achieve a Masters in Educational Leadership at Nicholls State University. Mrs. Bergeron has 25 years’ experience in education. She began her teaching career at Southdown Elementary and spent the majority of her career at Bourg Elementary. In her role as the K-2 Curriculum Specialist, Mrs. Bergeron supports teachers, instructional leaders and administrators with the implementation of  reading, math, social studies, and science curriculum  for kindergarten, first grade and second grade.  

Darlene Boudwin

ELA Curriculum Specialist

Darlene Boudwin has served as English Language Arts (ELA) Curriculum Specialist for Terrebonne Parish School District since 2014. Prior to becoming a curriculum specialist, Darlene taught English courses at Terrebonne High School for 17 years (1997-2014), including English II, English III, English IV, and Advanced Placement English Literature and Composition. Darlene earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education from Nicholls State University in 1996 and a Master of Science in Education from Arkansas State University in 2014. She was recognized as Terrebonne Parish High School Teacher of the Year for 2014. In her role as a curriculum specialist, Mrs. Boudwin supports teachers, instructional leaders, and administrators with the implementation of ELA curriculum in grades 3-12. 

Nathan Cotten


Science Curriculum Specialist

Nathan Cotten has served as the STEM Curriculum Specialist since 2012 for Terrebonne Parish School District and currently serves on the Louisiana Science Teachers Association (LSTA) board as treasurer.  Originally from Texas, Nathan attended Nicholls State University on a baseball scholarship where he eventually met his wife Nicole, a native of Chauvin.  Nathan and Nicole currently reside in Bourg and have one son, John Thomas.  As a classroom teacher of physics and physical science, Nathan received the Terrebonne Parish District Teacher of the Year and LSTA Outstanding Secondary Science Teacher Awards.  While in the classroom, Nathan secured over $20,000 in grants helping fund numerous instructional resources for projects such as a memorable TFAE school impact grant that required students to solve a mock murder case.  As STEM Curriculum Specialist, Nathan supports teachers with the implementation of the science curriculum for grades 3-12 while also managing a few additional initiatives such as the Terrebonne Science and Engineering Fair, LEGO FIRST robotics, eSports and the Terrebonne Aquatic Clinic.  Nathan recently was honored with the  Claudia Fowler Distinguished Service to Science Education Award for his career service to science education in Louisiana. When Nathan isn’t discussing science education, you can find him on his 40 acres in Texas, a golf course, and/or following the Boston Red Sox.

Lacie Oliver

Social Studies Curriculum Specialist

Lacie Oliver has served as Social Studies Curriculum Specialist for Terrebonne Parish School District since 2018. In 2010, Lacie started her teaching career teaching 7th grade American History at Evergreen Jr. High School. In 2012, she transferred to Terrebonne High School where she taught Civics, Advanced Placement Government and Politics, U.S. History, and GT. Lacie graduated from Nicholls State University with a B.A. in Secondary Social Studies in 2010 and with an M.ED. in Educational Technology in 2014.  In her role as Social Studies Curriculum Specialist, Lacie supports teachers, instructional leaders, and administrators with the implementation of social studies curriculum and resources in grades 3-12.
