Facilitator Notes: Lesson is introduced with discussion about the rotation of objects learners might know - fidget spinners, merry-go-rounds, etc. The rotation lesson is expected to take more than one class period. The opening discussion for Day 1 and Day 2 can be seen in the pdfs below.

Lesson 5 & 6 are combined because the two lessons are closely related. Learners can see the comparisons between rotations that are not 180 degrees as opposed to lessons that are 180 degrees. It is easier for ;earners to see that 180 degree rotations result in parallel lines while rotations that are not 180 degrees will result in lines that will cross at some point.

Important note: As we discussed at the beginning of class, rotation of a positive degree measure means the shape will travel counterclockwise. A rotation of a negative degree measure means the shape will travel clockwise.
