English SPecial Minor for Regional Development Studies

ESPとは？　What is ESP?

本プログラムは国際地域学科国際地域専攻の学生向けであり、参加者のうち、英語により実施されている授業を一定数以上履修すること、英語能力試験で規程の成績を収めること、海外で英語で行われている研修等に参加すること、卒業論文を英語で発表すること、などの認定要件を満たした学生に対してプログラムの修了を卒業時に認定し、卒業証書とは別にプログラム修了書を交付します。（修了要件はコチラ）

The English SPecial Minor (ESP) is designed for students in the Department of Regional Development Studies, Global and Regional Studies Major.Students who participate in this program and meet specific requirements—such as completing a certain number of courses conducted in English, achieving prescribed scores on English proficiency tests, participating in training programs conducted in English overseas, and presenting their graduation thesis in English—will be officially recognized as program completers upon graduation. プログラムに参加した場合にどんなメリットがあるの？ What are the benefits of joining the program?

参加している学生には、ゼミの教員とは別に学科専任教員の中からESPアドバイザーが割り当てられ、履修相談などを定期的に実施します。また、上級生や留学経験のある学生を招いた情報交換会を定期的に開催しています。なお、本学科入学後に一定程度の英語能力を有する学生が参加できます。

Participants will be assigned an ESP advisor—one of the full-time faculty members in the department—in addition to their seminar instructor. They will receive regular academic advising, including support with course planning. We also regularly hold information exchange sessions with senior students and those who have studied abroad. Please note that this program is open to students who demonstrate a certain level of English proficiency after entering the department.
