TIER III INTERVENTION
The behavior support plan (BSP) is a document that is developed by the Student Intervention Team (SIT). This document states the preventative strategies, the replacement behaviors, how to teach the replacement behaviors, the behavior goal, how reinforcement is delivered, and the data collection tool that is being used. This document will be developed based on the results of the campus-based functional behavior assessment (See Campus-Based Functional Behavior Assessment).
With the SIT, the team will use the BSP document to determine an appropriate BSP for the student.
The document will be filled out with the members of the SIT, not one individual person.
The document will be used to determine if the student benefits from what is stated in the BSP.
The BSP may have to be adjusted based on changing behaviors- both positive and negative changes.
Data on the contents of the BSP will be collected and analyzed by the SIT.
