A valid credit card is required for payment.

We accept VISA, Mastercard, JCB, and American Express.

Credit cards under a family member’s name are also accepted.

💰 Living Expenses

For an estimate of living expenses during your stay, please refer to the following website: https://sup.bureau.tohoku.ac.jp/en

Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation.

We recommend staying near Tohoku University Kawauchi Campus or within Sendai city.

If needed, the Tohoku University International Support Center can assist you with accommodation inquiries.

📝 How to Apply for the JASSO Scholarship

Step ①: JASSO Application Student Form

Students must complete this form and submit it to the study abroad advisor or a faculty/staff member at their home university.

Step ②: Application Form (to be submitted by university staff)

This form must be submitted by a faculty/staff member or the study abroad office at the student’s home university.

We will contact the relevant students directly.

In-Person / Undergraduate Student Only: Qualified students may apply for a Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) scholarship of JPY 80,000.
