The Tohoku University Japanese Program (TUJP) is a short-term program designed to improve your Japanese proficiency and deepen your understanding of Tohoku, Japan.

The program consists of intensive Japanese lessons combined with many hands-on activities to practice the language. 

In addition, it includes interactive lessons on both traditional and modern Japanese culture and society. 

The program also covers earthquake memorials and disaster prevention studies in Tohoku.

Moreover, participants will engage in collaborative learning activities with local Tohoku University students. Friendly and supportive “buddies” (local students) will help you feel welcome and assist you throughout the program.
