Eligibility

1. Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students enrolled at one of Tohoku University's partner institutions.

2. Past participants of the program may apply even if they are not currently enrolled at a partner university.

1. Applicants are expected to have sufficient English proficiency, equivalent to TOEFL® iBT 70 or PBT 520 (recommended).

2. Results from other internationally recognized English tests (e.g. TOEIC, IELTS) are also accepted.

＊English requirement will be waived if a student satisfies one of the following conditions:

・they are currently enrolled in the universities in one of the countries shown below.

・ they have completed a high school or university degree earned from one of the countries shown below.

Applicants who are enrolled in a course in which classes are generally taught in English may submit a CERTIFICATE issued by their home university verifying their enrollment in place of a language certificate.
