Through lectures, laboratory visits, and hands-on activities, participants will explore a range of topics in applied chemistry, chemical engineering and biomolecular engineering. Participants will be assigned to one of the participating laboratories and work in small groups under the guidance of faculty members and researchers. Through these activities, students will gain a deeper understanding of research approaches in chemical and biological engineering and experience an international research environment at Tohoku University.

The course consists of introductions to chemical and biological engineering research, laboratory presentations and visits, and hands-on research activities conducted in participating laboratories. Students will be assigned to host laboratories and participate in experiments and other research activities under the supervision of faculty members and researchers.
The participants have an opportunity for the hands-on laboratory to implement and examine the ideas taught in the lectures. Pick up one laboratory from the suggested options. The activities are conducted in groups.
