The Tohoku University Engineering Summer Program (TESP) is a 16-day international program that brings together engineering students from around the world. Conducted entirely in English, it features lectures and hands-on activities on advanced engineering topics, along with cultural experiences that deepen participants’ understanding of Japan. Each summer, around 50 students gather on the Aobayama Campus to learn, collaborate, and create lasting memories.
Lectures, laboratory hands-on activities, Japanese language class, Japanese cultural experiences (e.g., kimono dressing, tea ceremony, doll painting), and field trips are included. Please refer to each field’s page for details.
Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation. Please ensure your check-in date is no later than July 8 and your check-out date is on or after July 25.
To find affordable accommodation options, TU support will be helpful.
