The following must be observed by employees who have been lent accommodations or parking spaces.
The tenant shall use the housing and vehicle storage space with great care.
The tenant may not lease any part of the housing or vehicle storage space to a third party, use it for purposes other than residence or vehicle storage, or undertake renovations, redecoration, or other construction without approval.
If the housing and vehicle storage space is lost, damaged, or soiled due to reasons attributable to the tenant, the tenant shall restore it to its original condition or compensate for the damage without delay. However, this does not apply if the loss, damage, or soiling is caused by fire not due to willful misconduct or gross negligence.
If the housing and vehicle storage space is damaged or soiled due to natural disaster, the passage of time, or other reasons not attributable to the tenant, and the damage or soiling is minor, Tohoku University will not bear the cost of repairs.
If the tenant meets any of the following criteria, they shall vacate the housing and vehicle storage space within 20 days of the date the condition was met:
End of employment as a staff member.
Death.
Loss of eligibility to reside in the housing, or no longer needing it, due to transfer, reassignment, relocation of work site, or other similar reasons.
Acquisition of their own home.
Being requested to vacate due to a higher-priority tenant emerging based on the operational needs of Tohoku University's affairs or projects concerning said housing.
Being requested to vacate due to the necessity of demolishing the housing and vehicle storage space. However, this may not apply depending on the circumstances.
An individual who has been approved for housing provision shall move into the housing within 10 days from the date of provision. Failure to move in by the deadline may result in the cancellation of the housing provision approval.
When vacating the housing and vehicle storage space, the tenant shall notify the university of the vacating date by the end of the month prior to the vacation date and return the housing and vehicle storage space in good condition. However, this doesn't apply in unavoidable circumstances.
If there is a change in cohabitants due to marriage, childbirth, a child's employment, etc., the tenant shall promptly notify the Finance Department, Property Management Division, Asset Management Section, (hereinafter referred to as "Asset Management Section").
If there's a change in the owner name, registration number, or other details of the vehicle used by the tenant, they shall promptly notify the Asset Management Section.
The tenant shall comply if Tohoku University temporarily requests the vacating of the vehicle storage space for housing maintenance and management, such as construction.
When Tohoku University inspects the interior and exterior of the housing and vehicle storage space for maintenance and management purposes, the tenant shall not refuse without a legitimate reason.
Tohoku University bears no responsibility for any damage suffered by the tenant due to theft, damage, or other incidents within the vehicle storage space.
The tenant shall not keep animals such as dogs, cats, or birds.
In addition to the above, the tenant shall not disregard any instructions regarding the use of the housing and vehicle storage space.
