Move in Process
After checking the Move-In Qualifications, submit form 01, "Record of Intending to Move-into/Change Tohoku University Faculty/Staff Housing" to the host department at least one month before the desired move-in date.
Upon submission of the application from the host department, a review will be conducted. The results of the review will be delivered to the host department in the beginning of the month before the month of the move in date.
If approved, the applicant may apply to move-in after reviewing the Lending Conditions by submitting form 02, "Application to Rent Faculty/Staff Housing and Parking Space" to the host department at least five days before the desired move-in date. The applicant will receive a certificate of lending therein after.
After Approval
Choose the date and time you would like to receive the keys to the housing unit by emailing the Asset Management Section. It is possible to receive the keys up to one week before or one week after the approved move-in date.
Arrange for utilities to be set up. If you need language support, submit a request with the Tohoku University International Support Center: https://sup.bureau.tohoku.ac.jp/en/application-main-e/
Go to the first floor of the E06 administration building at Katahira Campus to receive the keys. There will be about a 10 minute explanation accompanying the key hand over.
