On Sunday, April 20, 2025, a traffic safety class and recycled bicycle sales event for international students was held at Tohoku University Kawauchi Kita Campus.

A total of 42 international students, including 31 Tohoku University students, participated in the event.

At the traffic safety class, an official from the City of Sendai gave a lecture on Japanese bicycle traffic rules, to which the participants listened attentively.

At the recycled bicycle sales event, 30 used bicycles that had been collected by the city of Sendai and refurbished by local bicycle shops were sold to international students at a low price as part of the daily life support activities for international students.
