Staff Exchanges between Tohoku University and SenTIA Begin

A short-term staff exchange took place with the Sendai Multicultural Center from July 22 – 24.
The Sendai Tourism, Convention and International Association (SenTIA) and Tohoku University dispatch members of their staff to each other’s workplaces to deepen their understanding of what they do and improve both teams’ efficiency and quality of service.
At the first exchange, one of Tohoku University's International Support Center employees whose duties are related to international students was dispatched to the Sendai Multicultural Center run by SenTIA. He received a detailed explanation of work carried out by the Sendai Multicultural Center, after which he observed volunteer activities there and discussed ideas and opinions with those involved.
Members from both organizations discussed ideas and shared opinions.
The exchange included on-site learning at the Sendai Multicultural Center's information counter.
