The Tohoku University–Sendai City Joint Center for Community Internationalization is an organization within Tohoku University that works jointly with Sendai City to review and coordinate initiatives to support international residents.
This center responds to the various needs of Tohoku University’s international students, researchers, and their families with respect to living in Sendai, and promotes initiatives to create an environment in which they can live, learn, and work comfortably. It works with the organizations and departments in charge of policies for international residents in Sendai City including ward offices, other administrative bodies, and the Sendai Tourism, Convention, and International Association (SenTIA), which operates the Sendai Multicultural Center and its information counter for international residents.
The knowledge gained by this organization is used to develop various kinds of support for Sendai’s international residents.

TU Support is a portal site for Tohoku University's students, researchers, and faculty members from the international community. It provides a variety of assistance with living in Japan and introduces support organizations from inside and outside the university.
SenTIA (Sendai Tourism, Convention, and International Association) leads various projects in order to create a city where everyone can live comfortably and be themselves, regardless of language, nationality, or culture.
