The End of a Beginning
Filled with exhaustion we fly free
Piling responsibilities on us like the water droplets
that weigh down our wings
The feeling of being released from the thing
that drowns us the most
The moment that we break free
Touching the world around us with our wisdom
Flying away to welcome the next obstacle
we thought we got away from
Each time the thunderstorms traps us
But once we have the strength to leave it behind
To risk spreading our wings
We still hope to be rewarded
