Pursuit of Time
I watch the calendars, the months, the years.
The hours in a minute, in a day, and in a week
Like sand slipping through an hourglass,
Portraying time as almost out.
However, I watch the calendars, the months, the years.
The hours in a minute, in a day, in a week,
And the hourglass seems to lose its meaning
Because time is not running out.
As I watch the years go by,
The aging of things
The tick of the clock,
I realize that time is not running out.
And it never was.
Our hourglass is ours to decide for,
When the sand slips
When it runs out.
For time is a choice.
And there is time for anything and everything.
