The Lonely Floor
I’m stepped on and stepped on
I always have your back,
Like a supportive mom always there for her child
Life’s a rollercoaster,
But not once have they feared
The pain I feel,
Like a crook in a back,
Ready to crack,
BOOM!
I’m in every building
beneath the souls of millions,
I lay in silence
While people abuse me
When it comes to life
I only have one goal
A proud content secret keeper
If only people valued
Me as they do themselves
Always a presence in the room,
From dirt to dust it's never just…
My loneliness flows like a river,
The taste of the old coffee rotting is sour,
The pain it feels to see people litter is like a
Sharp radiating pain
The sound of booms, enter the room,
The unbearable stench of sweat fills the air ,
I wish I could click my heels together like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz,
and escape this horrible misery,
And to put people in my shoes to remind
Them to be grateful.
