MEETING IN PORTUGAL

This meeting is programmed to take place at the beginning of the project, due to the fact that teachers and students should come together and reorganize the project concretely. 2 Teachers and 5 students will attend this meeting. Coordinators from every peer will come together. Since they are the main educational actors of this project, they must meet in order to bind the group, discuss and get some solid decisions on the two year programme, brainstorm in several implementation technics, analyze the disseminating and evaluating procedures and activities, and how is the implementation of activities in accordance to the topic and the subtopics. This meeting is one of the most important at the beginning of this project.

Along with these works, every school that participates will set up a study/seminar activity, where academicians will lecture about the topic. After that, an assessment report will be created and announced.

This project has to do with several issues that concern the European Union and the rest of the world: democracy, immigration, civic involvement and discrimination. So, it is very important to come together, in order to enhance our critical thinking, analyze the current situation and find solutions.

Along with the project studies, every schools that participates will follow the usual programme, while the host students will implement the local activities. There will be several cultural visits and school classroom attendance. The teachers will be in charge for these activities.

The country that hosts, will apply the evaluation methods and tools, as well as it will create an exchange report, that will include who are the participants, what are the objectives, what is the level of attainment that derives from the evaluation data, what is the interpretation of the feedback forms, what is the materials that were used and the handouts, the presentations, the student’s and group’s photographs, their activities from work and the products they will create. The coordinator will use all of the above in the mid-term report.
