External Assessment

Some standards are externally assessed. Most externally assessed standards are assessed in the external NCEA examinations in November/December. These external exams are run by NZQA. Te Kuiti High School is an NCEA examination centre so these examinations occur at school.

Some externally assessed standards (mainly in Visual Arts and Technology) are assessed by a portfolio or by written reports which are completed at school but are marked externally.
