It has been a busy 2 weeks with lots of exciting activities taking place. The children have been excellent ambassadors for Tithe Farm and the visits have supported the learning which has been taking place this cycle.
This year we will be sending our end of year reports to families via email. Please could you ensure that the school has the correct email address for you to ensure that you recieve this. If you are receiving communication from school via email then we do have your email!
The weather has been glorious this week. Please remember to ensure your child comes to school with a hat, water bottle and (if you wish) sun cream. Staff are not able to apply suncream to your child so if you wish them to reapply, they will need to do this themselves.
Last week a group of Year 5 and 6 went on a residential visit to Caythorpe Court. It was a fantastic week with the children taking part in lots of adventurous activity. It was lovely to see how resilient and determined the children were to complete the activities and overcome their fears.
A google form has been sent to families (Current Year 4 and 5) this week to express an interest in next year's visit. If you would like to find out more information, Mr. Holloway has arranged a meeting for you to see what the children do.
A team of year 3 children took part in the Herts for Learning Year 3 Maths challenge last week. They worked together as a team to solve some pretty tricky maths! There a several heats taking place so we are currently waiting to see how they have done and whether they have made the final!
Thank-you to the FOTF for organising the Father's Day gift stall. It proved very popular! We hope that all the father figures in our children's lives enjoyed the gifts which were purchased!
Sports day will be taking place on Friday 4th July (weather permitting). We will be following a similar format to previous year, with Reception and Key Stage 1 in the morning and Key Stage 2 in the afternoon.
A letter with all the details has been sent to families today.
Please note that pupils are not allowed to wear smartwatches during the school day. Should you wish your child to wear a smart watch they will need to be turned off and handed to the class teacher on arrival to school. They will then be returned at the end of the school day - in the same way that mobile phones are. If a child is seen wearing a smart watch adults in school will ask them to remove the watch.
Last week, Reception had a visit to Mead Open Farm. The children enjoyed feeding the goats, petting the bunnies, grooming some ponies and going on a wagon ride!
Tot finish the day off they also had a play in Shaggy's cove sand park. It was a brilliant day which the children (an adults) thoroughly enjoyed. We are sure the children slept well that evening!
