This week, Year 6 have completed their end of Key Stage 2 SATs papers. They have shown such resilience and positivity in the way that they have worked through the tests. We are incredibly proud of them all and know that they have all done their very best which is all anyone can ask of them. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the adults who supported them in the build up to the week and those who were part of the testing week. We look forward to seeing how you have all done in July!
Ruby and Amber Class visited Houghton Regis Library this week. They all had an excellent time exploring the library, listening to and sharing stories with adults and their friends. Remember joining and borrowing books from the library is free - it is an great way to spend some time over the weekend or during the holidays and continues to encourage a love of reading.
This week we have also started our Cycle 4 learning: Creating a Better World. During this Cycle of learning the children will be learning about the local and surrounding area and how they can make our world better by the actions which we take.
On Monday 19th May at 5:30pm we will be holding our Reception New Start meeting. This is a meeting for families who have been offered a place at Tithe Farm Primary School in September 2025. Please make childcare arrangements because this meeting is not suitable for children to attend.
Please remember to send your child to school with a hat and clean bottle of water each day. If your child requires suncream please apply a long lasting one before they come to school. School staff are not able to apply suncream.
Just a quick reminder that there is a table in the front reception where we are collecting food items for the Dunstable Foodbank. If you are able to spare any of the most needed items or any other non perishable foods, please pop them on the table -we will be arranging for the donations to be collected at the end of next week.
Next week we will be presenting the adult of the month award. If you would like to nominate an adult in school, please complete the form by following the link: https://forms.gle/BwtPgb1QtJ8K6ncx8
The school is taking part in Street Tag. This is a game which converts your steps into points. As well as your steps there are virtual 'street tags' which you can collect along the way- this are worth extra. As a school we are competing against other schools in Central Bedfordshire. Currently we are in 8th position which means we have a chance of winning a prize at the end of the season!
You can play by downloading the Street Tag app and joining the Tithe Farm team. It is an excellent way to motivate your children to walk and get active!
We have not one but 2 learning superheroes to celebrate this week. Huge congratulations to Freya and Amelie (both in Year 2) who have followed the Tithe Farm Way and collected all 9 learning friends this academic year!
From signing learning friend cards this week, I know there are a number of children who are really close to becoming a Learning Superhero. I am therefore hoping that I will have more certificates to give out before the end of the summer term!

This week I have received some amazing letters from Emerald and Turquoise class. It is lovely to see the progress our children are making in their writing composition and how proud they are of their published work.
