This week...

This week we held our transition afternoons. These were very successful with all children enjoying spending time in their new classrooms with their new teachers. There will be an opportunity for you to meet your child's new teacher early in the new term. Information about this will be communicated in September.

On Wednesday, the Year 6 children performed their amazing end of year production 'School of Pop.' Even in the very warm conditions, they brought all of their energy and were fabulous! There were so many brilliant performances - with children learning a huge amount of lines; singing solo's impeccably; and singing and dancing to whole group songs. It really was a joy to watch! Thank-you to all of the families who support the children and to the members of staff who made this possible.

As we enter the last week of term, I would like to remind you that school remains open and unless we tell you school is closed, absences will be unauthorised which means that if a threshold is met then you may receive a fixed penalty notice.

End Of Term 17th July 2026

The end of the academic year is Friday 17th July. All children will need to be collected from school at 2:00pm. There will be no Big Fun Club on this day- please therefore make arrangements for collection.

Lost Property

If you are missing any uniform, please check the lost property drawers before the end of term. Any lost property which is not claimed will be wither washed and added to our uniform exchange or disposed of.

Great British Summer Savings

Rising prices can make life's little treats harder to afford, especially during the school holidays when costs build up for families. This Government is determined to help, and that is why last month the Chancellor announced the Great British Summer Savings scheme.

From 25 June to 1 September 2026, the Government is temporarily cutting VAT from 20% to 5% on children's meals in restaurants, children and family tickets to cinemas, theatres, concerts and exhibitions, and admission to a wide range of attractions. Combined with free bus travel during August for children aged 5 to 15 in England, families and young people will be able to enjoy experiences that make summer special, including visits to the kinds of cultural and educational attractions that enrich children's lives outside the classroom.

As part of this campaign, the Governorment have launched an attraction finder website which allows families to type in their postcode and find participating venues near them to make the most of summer savings. To use the attraction finder, please visit https://summersavings.gov.uk.
