Church of England Primary School
Inspire, Nurture, Flourish
Welcome to Old Newton Church of England Primary School
Welcome to Old Newton Church of England Primary School. We are extremely proud of our school and its pupils. We promote high standards of achievement and behaviour.
Partnership between the school and parents is essential in promoting high quality learning. We welcome you as partners during your child’s time at school and look forward to working closely with you.
Our school is a safe and caring environment in which the children become confident learners. We encourage mutual respect and sensitivity towards others, regardless of culture, gender, age, race, creed or ability.
We are a Church of England School and ensure the children have an opportunity to worship every day, make sure they are spiritually safe and model Christian values in all we do. We have a very good relationship with our local church; we visit the church for services and celebrations.
We aim to support each child to achieve their potential across the full primary curriculum. We believe in developing the whole child and encourage creative development through art and music. The school also encourages children to be healthy and active through high quality P.E. and competitive sport.
Although we hope these pages provide the information you need, we would encourage all new parents to visit us and meet the children and staff before your child starts school. If there is anything further you need to know beyond this booklet, please do not hesitate to ask.
Mrs Jo Lockyear, Headteacher
Vision and Values Day
We held a vision and values day on Friday 21 October to focus on our Christian vision and the values that are so important to our school.
Do you have a child starting school in September 2023?
Our last open afternoon was on Tuesday 18th October but please call 01449 673257 to make an appointment if you would like to visit.
Great teaching, amazing environment, happy pupils.
We are proud of the high quality learning that we provide. The staff and governors work as a team to ensure the school provides the best support for our pupils.
