Severe Weather Procedures

Should the school need to close due to severe weather overnight the decision will be made by 7.00 am.

We will endeavour to keep the school open but should we need to close, it will be for the safety of the pupils and staff.

 Announcements will be made on: 

BBC RADIO SUFFOLK                   95.5/104.6 FM           www.bbc.co.uk/suffolk       

We will also send an SMS message to all parents/carers on the Arbor texting service as well as an email.

Early Closures - In the event of conditions deteriorating rapidly during the day and the possible need to transport children early from school, we will inform parents at the earliest convenience by email.

Please advise the school of any emergency closure arrangements you have in place for your child to either go home with another parent or to walk to a relative or friend and please ensure your child is aware of these arrangements. Older children who have permission to walk ordinarily will NOT be allowed until 3.30pm, unless specific permission is given on the day of an early closure.

Children will be dismissed at normal school time unless collected earlier.
