Vision and Aims

Learn the art of possible: At Gislingham we aspire to create an inclusive, safe and vibrant community where every child feels a sense of belonging. Through a curriculum grounded in diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect, we maintain an environment where children embrace and display their unique personalities. We passionately believe in the potential of every child, instilling in them the confidence to dream, explore, and grow in confidence. Our ambition and commitment to excellence goes hand in hand with nurturing character, perseverance and kindness. As we guide our children on their educational journey, our ultimate vision is to work together to empower them to achieve through courage, compassion, confidence, and becoming lifelong learners, ready to make a positive impact on the world.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” - Joshua 1:9

We summarise our vision with the motto ‘Belong, Believe, Together Achieve

Belonging: to the school; to the community; to the wider world and to God’s family. Each person is encouraged and challenged to be the best they can be so they are well equipped for today’s modern world and that of the future; academically, socially and spiritually.

Believing: in ourselves and in each other. Although we each come together with different personal beliefs, through a shared understanding of the Christian values we equip children to think, develop their talents, act with imagination and respect based on a strong ethical foundation.

Together Achieving: success as well-rounded, confident individuals who achieve the best for themselves and for the society in which they live. Through our rich curriculum, we support and guide our children to flourish and reach their potential, both now and in the future.

To achieve our vision, we will provide a safe, inclusive, challenging and stimulating learning environment where everyone is valued and children thrive by:
