Leadership Development
Leadership Coaching
Entry-level principals are required to provide long-term planning documents with a mission and vision, plus methods to build stakeholder engagement and buy-in along with a variety of skills and techniques to build leaders on campus and boost employee retention.
I have served as a thought partner for principal candidates during this process.
Learning Leaders
I create learning for new assistant principals on key topics for Special Populations and how we can collaborate to serve our students.
I also train Year 1 and 2 Principals on key topics for Special Populations.
Other training offered to all administrators included logistics and mindset for threat assessment to preserve student and staff safety and well-being.
Instructional Coaching
Coaching starts with the people in the room. The tools, instruments, and approaches are selected based on the needs of the people and circumstances in place,
This is a sample of a survey used in 2 departments to identify areas in a department that needed support or growth -- it was part of the journey toward improved practice and the main support was through daily interactions and partnership.
Effective School Framework
As a campus administrator, we were tasked with making changes as part of a Targeted Improvement Plan with TEA.
This was a multi-year process that resulted in changes to multiple areas including:
instruction
professional development
discipline processes and outcomes
student expectations
safety and logistical processes
