Setting Your Coala API Key

The Coala API Key identifies a project your have created in the Coala Backend.

Because you may want to use multiple Coala Projects within your UE4 Game or Application, the Coala API Key has to be set per map.

(If you are using sublevels, you only have to set the API Key in the top level map)

To do this, once the Coala Plugin is activated and you restarted your Editor, open a map you want to use Coala with, and go to its World Settings tab.

You should see the following:

If your World Settings do not display the Coala Section, you are likely to have overwritten the standard AWorldSettings yourself.

In this case, you have to derive your own world settings from ACoalaWorldSettings.

Now the only thing left to set up your API Key is to copy it from the Coala Backend Project and into the Coala API Key field of the WorldSettings.

When you are logged into the Coala Backend and select the Coala Project you want to use, refer to the following image to find your API Key.
