While out of school, we're offering 5 options you can do each day to continue learning:
READ for 1 hour, broken up into 15 minute chunks. Look at this page for some online resources to read! Also enjoy a read aloud each day by Mrs. P!
WRITE for 1 hour, broken up into 15 minute chunks. Choose your grade level at the top of this link and choose one or two of these each day!
PRACTICE MATH FACTS 15 minutes each day and track your progress. Try out these fun 1st grade learning options:
Create a "How To" video about a concept you understand
Use Flipgrid, Screencastify, Google Slides or other tool
PRACTICE FOR READING AND MATH: IREADY
LEARN ABOUT SOMETHING NEW! Spend 15 minutes learning about an interesting topic that is part of the 1st grade social studies curriculum. Choose one or two of these each day! Also try BRAINPOP for super fun learning; all users can access this site with the username: cbms1 and password: brainpop.
IF THE WEATHER IS NICE, play outside for at least one hour! Some ideas to help get you started:
ride bikes
decorate the sidewalks with chalk
blow bubbles
have matchbox car races
play tag
sponge water tag
write your math facts in chalk (this is a two for one!)
