Michael Bond author of "The Adventures of Paddington", "The Herbs" and "Monsieur Pamplemousse" sadly died on Tuesday morning.

Michael Bond wrote about a small brown bear who was an immigrant to the UK. He arrived at Paddington Station London, Where Mr and Mrs Brown found him. They had gone to meet their daughter Judy returning from school for the holidays. When they spotted the luggage label attached to his coat that said "Please look after this bear, Thank you" They gave him a home and named him after the station, Paddington's adventures began. Children all over the world have enjoyed the stories of the marmalade sandwich loving bear. Paddington has featured in one film and a second one is due out soon. More of Paddington's story can be found here: http://www.paddington.com/gb/heritage/paddington/
