What is the weather?
For today's challenge can you make your own Weather Chart just like the one below? Each day you will need to record the weather that you have seen outside. Keep hold of your chart- we are going to be using it for another challenge next week!
Can you practice some new vocabulary associated with weather with your child using the chart below?
Spicy Challenge!
Can you write/label the weather you can see outside? Use fred fingers, finger spaces, and your best handwriting! "I can see the sun and clouds" "There was lots of rain today."
Random Recipes
For today's challenge, we would like you to come up with a nonsense recipe. We want you to think about what ingredients you could put in the recipe, what the instructions would be, and what would be the end product.
You could draw your ingredients, or for a spicy challenge you could try to use your sounds to write the words. Try to see if you can fit lots of different verbs into your instructions: slice, cut, chop, drop, mix, squash etc.
Here is an example of a random recipe!
Pairs!
We have discussed this in Maths, so recap what a pair is together. Get 10 pairs of matching socks, un-match them and mix together. Take turns timing each other to see who is the quickest at matching the socks back together. Can you record your score? Who is quickest? Can you beat your score?
SPICY CHALLENGE!
How many different pairs of things can you find around the house? Perhaps you could record this in an interesting way e.g. a tally Chart or labelling a picture?
Super Shape Minibeasts
Today's challenge uses your shape knowledge, cutting skills and wonderful artistic imagination- we are going to be making minibeasts out of different shapes. You might want to recreate the Minibeasts you have learnt about on 'Minibeast Monday's' although choosing something different is fine too!
Draw different shapes and cut them out and see what animals and insects you can make. For example, a ladybug- oval for the body, tiny circles for the spots, and rectangles for the antennas.
Use coloured paper if possible, if not colour the shapes. You can make your own or use the below link!

Spicy Challenge!
Can you label the parts of the insects body? If you are feeling super spicy could you put the insect’s name in a sentence?
Tic Tac Toe
For today's challenge, we would like you to get your logical-thinking caps on, by creating and playing your own Tic Tac Toe game.
There are some picture instructions below to show you how you could create the game, and also what you could use for the game pieces. Traditionally, it uses noughts and crosses, but as you can see, you can use any 2 different things to play the game. Maybe you can keep a tally to see how wins the most games throughout the day.
