Margins are the blank spaces at the top, bottom and sides of the page.
Sometimes you may need to change the margins to fit more words on the page.
To change the margins, click on the Layout tab
Click on Margins.
Click on Custom Margins.
You can copy and paste pictures from the internet or from a file on your computer or on a DOC into a document.
1. Go to the internet and type in flowers and then click on images.
2. Choose an image that you like and left click on it.
3. When the large picture opens, right click on it to open a menu.
4. Left Click on Copy Image.
Note: You can only copy from the internet. You can’t cut because it is not your material.
5. Open a blank document.
6. Right click on the page to open a menu.
7. Left Click on the first Paste picture.
1. Left click on the picture and small circles will appear at each corner.
2. Place the cursor over the circle and the cursor will change to an arrow.
3. Left click and hold while dragging the picture to the size you want.
From a file:
1. Open a blank document.
2. Place the cursor where you want to insert the picture.
3. Click on the Insert Tab
4. Click on Picture to open your picture file.
5. If the picture is on a DOC, scroll down the left side of the screen and find your DOC removable disk.
6. Click on the removable disk to open the file.
7. Select the picture you want to copy and double-click on it.
8. It will automatically insert itself in the document where the cursor is
9. You can resize the picture the same way as above.

What kind of dog was Snoopy?
Where can you get free food?
What is the short form of would have?
What colour is the sky in July?
Now Cut and Paste to match the questions with the answers below

Save on your DOC as Answers.
Close.
Send the Doc to your instructor
Task #2
Go to the internet and type kittens.
Choose a picture you like and click on it.
Open a blank document.
Copy the picture into the document.
Save on your DOC as Cut and Paste.
Close.
Paper Orientation is the direction the words are printed on the paper.
To change the paper orientation, click the Layout tab and click on Orientation.
Choose how you want your page to look.
Your page is usually set to Portrait. If you choose Landscape, then your page will change. Click on your choice.
A printer connects to your computer. You can print your documents from your screen to paper using this device.
You would click on the File tab.
You would click on Print in the drop down menu.
You will be given some options. Use the drop down menu to select how you want the document to print.
Select number of copies
Select printer
Select what pages to print, if you don’t want to print all the pages
4. Then click on the Print icon at the top of the screen.
You use Print Preview to check your page before you print.
Click on the File tab.
Click on Print in the drop down menu.
A preview of how your document will print is located on the right side of the screen.
The preview will show the current page.
Click on the arrows at the bottom to view other pages in the document.
