Editor's Note
I'm not the one who should be writing this, I admit it. I mean, most of the days I just put on the first thing in my closet and head out the door (early mornings are stressful, okay?) but give me a chance to explain myself. I believe, and you can disagree, that fashion is more than just clothes. It's who you are. Yes, that's cliche, but it's a truth that encapsulates the essence of fashion so perfectly that no more words are required - but I'll say them anyway. Fashion is rebellion, its identity and expression and it can represent political ideologies and moral beliefs and cultural multifariousness. Aside from its very basic connotations of being protection against habitants, a means to show job title and more, it has so many more roles. Fashion is the difference between Superman and Clark Kent. It's a form of art which has persisted since the dawn of time, evolving in such intricate and beautiful ways to where we are now. It's a form of love, passion, and grief, going hand in hand with poetry and writing.
This theme is a kaleidoscope of many principles, but as I leave you with this newsletter, I just have one piece of advice: Wear what you want, be who you want to be. You may cringe in embarrassment at first, but over time, you will be so secure in who you are that embarrassment will no longer matter and then, you will finally be free.
