The Hague School students may choose varied ways to develop their portfolios; for example, a scrapbook, video log, blog, files, etc. may be used. However, all students at The Hague School will be required to share their portfolios through an individualized Google Site that is accessible to the CAS Coordinator, Provost, Assistant Provost and Associate Head of School for periodic review.
The portfolio is to be used to:
1) plan your CAS programme
2) reflect on your CAS experiences
3) gather evidence of involvement in CAS;
While the portfolio is not formally assessed, it is used as a reference during each of the three required interviews with the CAS Coordinator.
Below is a sample format for a CAS Portfolio:
Student Profile
describe three most important core values to you and why you chose them
describe your interests, skills and talents
map interests against the three strands of CAS to identify possible CAS experiences
include plans and long and short-term goals for your CAS programme
Experiences
chronicle the journey in CAS
incorporate a variety of reflections, learning moments, personal achievements that demonstrate ongoing personal development and self-awareness
incorporate how the CAS stages have been utilized
Evidence
Could include, but is not limited to, planning documents, letters, emails, certificates, acknowledgments of participation and achievements, photographs, videos, and so on
Could also correlate involvement with the CAS learning outcomes or may extend thoughts to future ambitions within and outside the CAS programme
