A Time to be Thankful

This month we've been making turkeys, budgeting meals, reading, and writing our final narrative writing projects. We also celebrated our grandparents and grandpals at our 2nd Annual Academy Virtual Grandparents Day! Check out our Thanksgiving stories! A time to be thankful!

We had a wonderful time at our 2nd Annual The Academy Virtual's Grandparents Day! We laughed, played games, and enjoyed time together. A BIG Thank You to all who came! Definitely a time to be grateful!

Beach Life

Have you guys ever wonder what place you want to go to? The place I want to go somewhere is Hilton Head Island SC. The reason why I want to go there is because they have almost everything, like stores, parks, hotels and condominiums, its forests, beaches, and a short expressway. I also like to see the deciduous trees on the southeastern coast of the US since Hilton Head is on the southeastern coast of the US. It is a flat island and one of the barrier islands of the eastern coast. It has grassy dunes, inland coastal forests, slope-like beaches, salt marshes, and wetlands. I hope you guys enjoyed my reading on what place I want to go.

I pick Los Angeles, California Because I think it's good for playing. The big buildings is why I want to see. Also I want to see the Warner Bros. studios because I like to see all the cartoons they made. It has mountains with the Hollywood sign. It has a beach close by. Oh now I'm a turkey ghost yippee! oh my gosh I'm watching people eat my body! that's disgusting and disturbing disgustingly stubbing hey baby rhymes I know it really doesn't rhyme but I'm a turkey. I don't know anything. oh gosh you ripped off my leg! I'm glad I didn't feel that they're destroying my body!

Johnny: The Bad Boy!

Johnny was a normal crawling, diaper destroying, goo goo gaga saying, bald teething, brown haired, blue eyed baby with a normal life living in Seattle with his mom until he reached 2 years old. His mom stopped buying him baby food because he was too old for it. He was infuriated. He unlocked superpowers from all the emotions running through him. He has telekinesis, basically he can move things with his mind. Johnny flew out the window started causing chaos. He played trucks, with real trucks!!! He Yeeted a pug DEEP into space! He blew up 36 CARS!!! But one person was there to stop him. Ice Ice Baby was here to save the day. Ice Ice Baby can freeze things which is actually really cool HAHa get it…sorry that was bad. They met in Kindergarten and they never got along. Johnny and Ice Ice Baby had an epic fight in the street. Throwing punch after punch at each other. They fought for hours until their parents found them and took them back to their homes for nap time. Then they would continue their fight another day

Villain Backstory: Mort Stalker

It happened so fast. Falling off that 200 foot building wasn’t enough to kill Jameson Dough ( he was only 46)Jameson didn’t have a good life. He was neglected, blind, had a paralyzed hand, it was very hard. But one day he just walked into a convenience store and stole some gum. Little did he know that would be start a whole new life for him, and another one. He was just a normal everyday bank robber, besides him being blind. He started out small, just the normal banks, but then he got ambitious, greedy, and hungry. He decided to go all out, robbing the biggest bank in the city, Townsford. It had everything, every celebrity in town had jewels in there. But it would be dangerous, the prize is at the very top. And a new “so called” hero was around so he had to get in and get out. He decided to install a glider in his suit so he could get to the other rooftops. The night of the heist was upon him, and it was something he will never forget. He had the money, and was ready to get out of there. But someone came. The new hero arrived, and he was ready for a fight. Jameson pulled out a crowbar and was ready for a new, filthy rich life to begin. He thought he slashed the hero across the chest. He was a goner for sur- POW! IS HE STILL ALIVE? THAT LOW LIFE SCUM, I WILL GET THIS MONEY I WILL WIN I WIL- dead. His body just sat in that ally for who knows how long. But then, he woke up. How, you ask? REVENGE. He turned into some half ghost half man monster. Perfect, that fiend will pay. He quickly learned that to sustain this new HALF ghost body that he had to turn into a (half) cannibal. Since he had to do this everyday, getting metaphorical scars from eating innards, he started smoking pot to make himself feel better. During his transformation into a half ghost, he lost an arm, but his glider fused with his other hand and turned into a robot hand with powerful telekinetic abilities. It was useful since it was easier to flip people off (one of his hands is paralyzed). Everyday he thinks about that fool who pushed him off that ledge. He now how a black towel draped over his eyes, and also a constantly bleeding mouth and lockjaw with jutting out pure yellow teeth. He has a bloody messed up arm that has muscles drooping out of it. He wears a raggedy dark purple shirt and a long blue glowing ghost tail for the lack of legs. That hero will- not MUST PAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CAROLINE LADE : THE EVIL VILLAIN

One day there was a 15 year old girl and it was her birthday. Her name was Caroline Lade. She had blue hair,bright green eyes, and a green dress. She was turning 16 years old. Before her birthday some kids were bullying her and stole her money. They stole her money from her because she was not sharing. So she decided that she was going to bully kids around to see what it feels like.Now she is so rude. No one wants to be her friend. She will use her mind reading to see what people think of her. She read Billy's mind and found out he does not like her. She will also use her super speed to run away from the problem she made. She used her super speed to run away so she would not get caught. She robbed a bank and Spider Man showed up. She used her super speed to run away. She will also use her flying ability to fly away from the super hero.

I Changed All Because of a Thank You

One day there was a girl named Leo. She was watching tv with her dog. Then she got a call from her friend . He said that they are not friends anymore. Then he said JK. Leo was really mad about it. So then she turned evil and sought revenge. Then she drank these potions to give her evil powers. Such as dress to impress( in evil) which means she is automatically beautiful in this really nice black and red dress, carries an air of danger and is surrounded by shadows . Oh, her dog became her evil sidekick.

One day the villain Leo felt like doing something bad. So she went out to the town and found a bank and decided to rob it. Then she snuck in and stole the money. HEY said the banker. So Leo ran as fast as she could as her shadows followed her . With her beautiful black and red dress flowing behind her she used her powers to disguise herself from the police. When the police went up to her they asked about a girl running ? Leo said that way. Thank you, said the police. So Leo and her dog went back to their home. Then Leo got a phone call. She said Hello? Hi yes is this Leo? Ummm yes can I ask who you are? I'm your old friend who called and told you we are not friends anymore and I'm so sorry. You know I've been waiting to hear that and you know what? What? her friend said ? I think I'm going to change into a better person now. Then they hang up. Ok I think I can do this. So Leo brought back the money to the bank. With a note it said I'm so sorry for robbing your bank. Here is your money back. It's been 5 months since she did something bad and she is more happy than ever and she even changed her dog's name to Sweet. And she got rid of her air of danger.

The Little Villain

I live in a little town. It's gloomy and when you go you see shops. In the town there's an orphanage where I live. My name is Robert. I am 15 years old. I've been in the orphanage since I was 4 years old. I'm an african american with green eyes and braided hair. I'm wearing a short sleeve shirt and shorts. Every week I go to a certain bakery. You just turn on Norbert Street. I go there because that's where my parents went when they were alive. My parents got killed. They both were shot at different times. My mom always got me a cookie. And my dad would carry me on his shoulders. But now since their deaths I've been stealing from the bakery because of how sad I've been. My experience has made me really hateful to people and mean. So I haven't hung out with anyone since my parents died. One day I got cursed by a shooting star, and now I have powers. I've got super strength. I use my super strength for wrestling. I use mind control to get what I want. One of my strengths is that I use animal control to have animal friends because no one wants to hang with me. My emotions control the weather. When I cry it rains or when I'm mad it thunders. Everyone stays away from me now. It gives me lots of space. They say I look like trouble! Before I had the powers I had a hungry look on my face because I'm very poor. One day the police caught me stealing from the bakery. I told them my story. They felt really bad for me so they got me a therapist for me to have control of myself. And now I'm healed from all the hard things I went through. And I got adopted.

Clyco Knight

It was a normal day in New York until like Clyco knight decided to summon meteors oh New York but then Altima came out of nowhere and destroyed all of the meteors and then altima yeeted Claycoknight into the sun. But then Claycoknight tried to throw the Sun at Earth but burned his hands in the process and Altima stopped time and stopped the Sun. But then he tried to destroy the Milky Way Baltimore kicked him into the black hole that is the center of the Milky Way.

I'm going to New York by plane and stay at the Plaza hotel. I'm going to be in the parade in a big car with my pets and my Autobots and my Decepticons and my cars will tow our big ccar and my planes will be in the back at our big car. I will like to eat pizza in New York. I will like to eat a burger in New York. History of the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade

Have you ever wondered what seeing the Macy's thanksgiving parade in real life is like? The Macy's thanksgiving parade started at November 27, 1924 to start the busy holiday shopping season. I am going to New York, NY by plane. I will stay in a hotel in New York City. I would love to see the sights of New York. I would also love to eat their New York style pizza. My favorite thanksgiving float is the Muppets. In conclusion, the Macy's thanksgiving parade started in fall of 1924.
