December was a busy month as we celebrated the holidays and as an Academy Way family, celebrated each other. This year has been wonderful and we're looking forward to 2025! Thank you to our newspaper team, teachers, and students for a great edition!

THE GIANT ELF

Once upon a time, there was an elf named Freddy. He had a sweet tooth. His mom was named TT and TT made him hot chocolate and then EVERYWHERE HE GOES HE SMELLS LIKE HOT CHOCOLATE.
One day, he noticed a bunch of raccoons following him - he wondered, “why in the world are they following me?” They kept getting closer and closer.so he trend around facing the raccoons then he said “Do you need something?” they said. “We need hot chocolate” in a judging way. So Freddy got his car and told the raccoons to get in. “Let’s go find a Starbucks!” and they all piled into his Mini Cooper and sped off.
They slipped their sunglasses and drove across the bay to find a Starbucks. When they got that they started to lost interest in hot chocolate. SO, they decided to leave Starbucks and go to Target instead. They had to find some Christmas gifts and wanted to buy new Christmas socks. So they did!

Spirit week at The Academy Virtual was a huge success! Each day we showed our school spirit in a different way leading up to our annual virtual Christmas party! Our Christmas party celebration was a big success as well. We played Name That Tune- Christmas music style and our students go to share their Christmas trees at home with the whole school! Bullying
Robbing a bank
kidnapping
yelling at mother
Running a red light
Nice list
Being nice
Helping the poor
Giving someone a gift
Not running a red light
Not yelling at mother
Expection:
If I run a red light and then go to court and got paid it off then I would still be on the nice list.
Conclusion:
I'm on the nice list but I only got a small gift because I ran a red light.
I think I belong on the nice list because I'm such an angel and so nice to everyone. So vote for me to be on the nice list!

Exception:
SOMEONE NAUGHTY SHOULD BE ON THE NICE LIST BECAUSE THEY WERE GOOD TOWARDS THE END OF THE YEAR.
SOMEONE WHO IS NICE SHOULD BE ON THE NAUGHTY LIST BECAUSE THEY YELLED at their mom but said sorry at the end of the day.
Conclusion:
Some reasons that you would be on the naughty list is, doing bad things or not doing what you are supposed to do. Some reasons that you would be on the nice list would be to say nice things or help someone with something. If you yell at someone or snap something, you will be on the naughty list. If you are calm and talk to someone nicer or try to calm someone down you will be on the right track to the nice list. Be a good person and do not steal and be a good person.

Exception:
Someone could be sneaking in bad things without anyone noticing, so they could still be on the nice list.
Someone could be being influenced to do these bad things, so they could still be on the naughty list.
Conclusion:
So the nice list is a list of people who are nice. Like they could give to the poor, stuff like that. The naughty list is for typically mean or bad people. Like stealing a lollipop from a baby.

Christmas is a time to get presents and give them to other people It is a time to celebrate Jesus's birthday. We go to the lights of joy (That's the new name) so that's my tradition. I look forward to it because it grows every year and I like the lights as well.
