Learning Center - NIOS Unit aims to build a community where all members – students, parents and teachers are able to communicate with integrity in an honest and respectful manner. The development of a partnership where all are valued, connected and informed are the primary considerations.
Communication with Students & Parents from the School Authorities.
Orientation:
The objective behind one on one orientation is
to articulate the academic expectations from the students and to guide the parents & students about the at-home model of studies.
Call/Video call to parents at regular intervals :
Parents - teachers telephonic calls to one another at regular intervals help the teachers to know about the students' routine at home. The teachers are able to peep through the innate qualities of the learners that normally may go unnoticed in the regular classroom. At the same time the parents too feel unburdened by sharing their concerns (academic/non-academic) with the teachers & the unit leader.
Monthly Feedback Form :
In order to solve the doubts/query and add valuable suggestions from the parents, Feedback Form would be circulated from July,21. The parents would be able to get the glimpses of the academic journey of the students. The valuable feedback of the parents would help the unit function smoothly.
Monthly meet as per the requirement
On the basis of `Parental call’ & `Parents feedback’ process meetings will be scheduled.
What’s App Group :
What’s App groups have been created for each class in order to stay connected even after non instructional time. Students - Parents - Teachers share the messages for instant responses.
Students Learning Center unit (Mr Sanjay Dutia) email ID :
Learning Center's email IDs have been generated for all the students. The objective is to send the official messages such as NIOS registration process, students' academic performance/achievements, attendance record and incident reports.
Edmodo :
Edmodo is a common platform across the unit. It serves as an assignment diary, conveys messages in the form of attached circulars from the desk of management meant for students & parents.
NIOS Broadcast :
The broad group serves as a platform for sharing school-related information quickly. It also serves as a single point contact for getting in touch with Call Back Center through What’s App.
Record Maintenance:
The orientation report of each student is maintained in the Orientation folder.
Suggestions/ concerns mentioned in the Parents' feedback form are carefully taken care of with the follow-up action.
Email related to query or suggestion is forwarded to the student’s dossier.
All the above documents will be maintained in the student’s dossier for easy reference.
