Nau mai ki te pae tukutuku o te Whānau Huia
We are using ClassCraft this term. This will replace ClassDojo.
Tasks will be included in your class lessons.
The main goal of Classcraft is to work as a team.
Each member of your team has special abilities to help each team to learn, progress and upgrade.
You will also gain points for work completion, working with others and helping your classmates.
You will spend at least 15 - 20 minutes a day writing an imaginary story. An imaginary story is a ‘made up’ story. This will help you to learn new words, write new sentences and practise your spelling and punctuation.
TO BEGIN, YOU WILL NEED TO:
Go to your Te Rito Google Drive
Open your INGARIHI folder
Open “My Stories by (your name)”
Try to complete a story a day.
🎈Write your story using full and complete sentences.
🎈If you are unsure of how to spell the word, spell checker will assist.
When you have finished writing
🎈Edit your writing using the Self Editing Checklist.
🎈You may want to read your stories to someone at home.
Remember to take a break from your chromebook every 20 mins. Stand up, stretch your body and flap your arms. You could go outside, play a game and get some fresh air. You and your whānau could also do one of following dances.
