Shadowing will take place during the earlier weeks of the semester. All new hires must shadow the session of a veteran tutor.

Please Note:

• You are required to observe the session for at least 30 minutes. You are welcome to stay longer if you wish.

• You will be matched with a returning tutor & receive information via email. We will attempt to match a tutor within your subject area.

• Please be respectful of the tutor and the student. 

  • If you have any questions, you may write them down and ask the tutor later. 

  • Leave the session in a non-disruptive manner.

• After shadowing a session, download and complete the shadowing response (linked on the right).

  • The completed reflection must be turned in to restutor@temple.edu within one week of the observed session. 

  • Name the file "Last Name, First Initial Shadowing Reflection"
