Online Tutoring - Instructor Checklist

  Before Classes:

• Check your availability and assigned classes in Instructor Dashboard

• Review teaching guidelines below

• Install TechSpark ZOOM background (see below #1)

• Review teaching material for your assigned courses - accessible either in Instructor Dashboard or shared with you by TSA team

• Monitor your automated booking notifications and save the iCal to your calendar

During Class:

• For Trial Lessons - In the interest of time, we recommend you start with the projects in 'Create' mode without an account. At the end of the lessons, if the student wishes to save their projects by creating an account (allow 5 mins to help students with this)

• For Scratch: Please help students create their own Scratch accounts with your email as the parent mail to allow for password reset if necessary. Ask them to use a generic password: TSA123!

• For Edublocks: Please ask students to create an Edublocks account with their email address and remind them to make a note of the password.

• Other platforms: Students should create an account with your support if necessary.

***End of Class(es):***

Encourage rebooking:

• Make course recommendations based on your student(s) level & interest using closing slides

Get Feedback:

• Please ask your students to complete the Student Feedback Form (see # 2 below)

• Ask the students to tell you what is the 'Secret Keyphrase' which appears on the screen after they complete the form. It should be COCOLOCO (If not, then they didn't complete the form)

After Class:

• Follow up email to parents with feedback and recommendations for future courses (see script below #3)

2. Student Feedback form (after lessons)

At the end of the lesson, please ask the students to complete the Student Feedback Form.
