Free Trial Lessons - Instructor Checklist

 Before Classes:

• You upcoming bookings are visible on your Instructor Dashboard

• Review Marta's Project Kick Brief and opening script (see below #1)

• Install TechSpark ZOOM background (see below #2)

• Review teaching material for your assigned courses (see below #3 & #4)

• Monitor your automated booking notifications and save the iCal to your calendar

• NEW! Intro Mail - 24 hours before your Free Trial Lesson, please send a quick email to introduce yourself and say that you are looking forward to the upcoming lesson. Please also include your zoom link and tel number in case they need to reach you. (Copy Maddalena in your email correspondence: maddalena@techsparkacademy.ch)

During Class:

• In the interest of time, we recommend you start with the projects in 'Create' mode without an account. At the end of the lessons, if the student wishes to save their projects you can do as follows:

• For Scratch: Pre-created Scratch student (see below #6)

• Note: Scratch student logins can be reused for multiple students/lessons. If you need more accounts, contact Kate.

• For Edublocks: If the student has an email account, please ask them to create an Edublocks account with their gmail or apple mail. (see below #5)

• Time permitting, you may help the student create an account with another email if they wish to save their project.

***End of Class:***

Encourage rebooking:

• Make course recommendations based on your student(s) level & interest using closing slides

Get Feedback:

• Please ask your students to complete the Student Feedback Form

• Ask the students to tell you what is the 'Secret Keyphrase' which appears on the screen after they complete the form. It should be COCOLOCO (If not, then they didn't complete the form.

After Class:

• Follow up email to parents with feedback and recommendations for future courses (see Parent Mail Script below #8)

• NEW! No Show Follow Up - If you lesson was a 'No Show', please follow up with the parent and offer to reschedule the lesson. (Copy Maddalena in your email correspondence: maddalena@techsparkacademy.ch)

• If you sent BOTH the Intro email and Follow up email, you will be paid for the 'No Show' Free Trial Lesson.

• NEW! Free Trial Conversion Potential - if you feel the customer showed interest in continuing learning with TSA and could benefit from a follow up call from TSA to encourage further book, please complete this short form 'FREE TRIAL Conversion Potential - follow up request'
