The Teague Secondary Campus Counseling Department is committed to providing a dynamic and equitable counseling program that fosters the intellectual, personal, and professional development of every student. Our purpose is to partner with families, faculty, and the community to equip all students with the skills and confidence necessary to navigate their academic journey, discover their career paths, and build a successful life, reflecting our shared commitment to building a brighter future, one student at a time.
School counselors are trained professionals who support the academic, social-emotional, and career development of students.
On junior high and high school campuses, counselors help students navigate the challenges of adolescence by providing guidance with class scheduling, academic planning, and preparation for college or career pathways.
They also offer counseling to support students’ mental health and well-being, assist with conflict resolution, and provide crisis intervention when needed.
In addition, school counselors collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to identify student needs, create supportive environments, and connect students to resources that promote success both in and out of the classroom.
