<'21 CMs Only> Step 3 of Enrollment
FBI Fieldprint check - OVERDUE - TFA partners with Fieldprint to make this process as easy for you as possible. TFA covers the Fieldprint fingerprinting and FBI processing costs so this process comes at zero cost to you (please be sure not to create a duplicate appointment as TFA will be charged for it). You are, however, responsible for getting to and from their fingerprinting appointment. Please follow these instructions and complete your FBI fingerprint check no later than August 13. Because this is a multi-step process, we highly recommend you book your FBI Fingerprint appointment by July 15.
Truescreen NSOPW check - OVERDUE - TFA partners with Truescreen to complete the NSOPW requirement for AmeriCorps. This is a process that requires you to create a Truescreen account and upload required documents. Please find comprehensive instructions for Truescreen here. You will receive an email from Truescreen the week of June 1 to begin this process. You must complete these instructions by no later than August 13.
<ALL CMs> Step 4 of Enrollment: Review & Sign the AmeriCorps Member Service Agreement & Application - OVERDUE Step 4 of the AmeriCorps enrollment process has launched! On Monday, 7/19/2021, you should have received an email from americorps.hawaii@teachforamerica.org with a link to review and sign the enrollment packet, which includes your Member Service Agreement and AmeriCorps Application through DocuSign. The form must be accessed using the code 202122. For instructions on how to use DocuSign, check out this document. Please be sure to sign both forms by no later than Friday, July 23, 2021.
<ALL CMs> Step 5: Setting Up Your AmeriCorps Account - Due Aug. 23 - Complete the AmeriCorps enrollment form via My AmeriCorps. You will receive an email from Bianca Mina with the information below:
My AmeriCorps is the official AmeriCorps database that verifies your service and allows you to access benefits such as loan forbearance and, upon successfully finishing the service term, your education award.
Returning AmeriCorps members: you must sign into your My AmeriCorps account to complete the enrollment form.
First time AmeriCorps members: you must create an account on My AmeriCorps as part of the enrollment process.
NOTE: This form requires you to enter your Social Security Number (SSN), which is used to verify your citizenship status and is a requirement of enrolling in AmeriCorps (and receiving benefits). Please enter your SSN accurately. If the system cannot automatically verify your SSN, you will be asked to provide your social security card; please take proactive steps to secure it now so as not to delay your AmeriCorps enrollment.
Returning AmeriCorps members – please keep in mind that all AmeriCorps members can only earn up two full time Education Awards and serve a total of four terms with AmeriCorps State and National programs.
If you have any questions, please contact me at biancacamille.mina@teachforamerica.org. Thank you in advance for completing the above requirements so that we can complete your AmeriCorps enrollment in September!
