Below are some topics for discussion for each of the quarterly meetings. You can also refer back to the Year 1 or 2 Mentoring pages for additional topics. Be sure to use the resources linked and review the mentoring documentation for additional tools to support your mentees. Keep track of your monthly discussion using this note catcher.

Exchange personal phone numbers
Send an encouraging note, email, text, etc. to mentees regarding the upcoming year
Set up Quarter 1 hour long meeting for late October/early November
Using self-assessment results, support mentees in setting a goal in one of the cluster areas using the collaborative teaching and learning logs.
Discuss and support mentees with SLO and PPG development
Engage mentees in self-assessment to help them identify their priority areas
Complete mentoring partnership agreement for each mentee
Attend Mentor Training on Oct. 7 from 4:30 - 7:30 PM IF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN TRAINED AND ARE A NEW MENTOR THIS YEAR; Brass Elementary Library

Support mentees in identifying professional learning opportunities for the summer and following school year (e.g. KUSD Professional Learning Catalog, Study Groups, books and articles, etc.)
Guide the mentees in entering all required information into Frontline to close the Educator Effectiveness Cycle
Guide new teacher through closing up the year, including guidance on returning supplies, cleaning room, and other end of the requirements and expectations of the building
