Communication Tools

Kenosha Unified School District uses ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.

Google Classroom 

• Purpose: If you already have your students set up in GC, you can easily send an email to all students enrolled in the Class.  In addition, you can communicate with families once Guardians have been invited.

Gmail - Making a Student Contact List

• Purpose: Quickly email all of your students a link to a website, video or resource.

Gmail - Forward your eMails to Outlook (KUSD Video Tutorial)

• Purpose: You will only need to check one location for both your Outlook and Gmail messages.

Calendars - Three ways to view your Outlook and Google Calendars simultaneously:

1. Option A: Set up both Gmail and Outlook accounts on your mobile device and enable viewing of both calendars on the device's built in calendar

2. Option B: Add Google Calendar Events to Web Outlook Calendar (Video)

3. Option C:  Using the installed Outlook Application on your PC, follow this video (start at :40 second mark) to import your Google Calendar

Creating Shared Google Folders:

• Purpose: create or upload resources into a viewable folder that can be shared with parents via one link for all materials.  Parents will be able to view, download or print.
