"I had the honor of working with Darrell this year. I've watched him grow as an educator and give 100% of himself to his students every single day. The progress our students have made, his work ethic, calm demeanor, his vision, creativity (and so much more), are the reasons he is Teacher of the Year. I will never be able to fully express my gratitude to him. Thanks Darrell!" -Robyn

"In the short time I have been here, I can easily see why Ms. Treasett won Teacher Assistant of the Year for our sweet school.
I watch her day in, and day out use prior knowledge of students and their likes/dislikes to meet their needs.
She teaches and trains those she works with each day. Her encounters with students are always with the utmost care and respect. She has gained the respect of her peers and it shows in the way that she leads each day."

Ashley Street
Professional of the Year
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Ashley has worked for FWISD for 14 years and began working at Jo Kelly in 2015.
“I can think back to how nervous I was and how unsure I was about being here. A few teachers took me under their wing and made me feel comfortable and reassured me that I was exactly where I was meant to be. Eight years later, I am thankful that I stayed.
The students at Jo Kelly are very special, and make us all see life in a different perspective. I am fortunate to work with them. Just to see them smile, laugh, and thrive is such a blessing.
I am honored to be this year's winner for Professional of the Year. I work with the top nursing team in the school district, and they are second to none! I am lucky to be a part of this nursing team. “
"Congratulations Ashley!" -Robyn
"Thank you for being such a good role model for me to follow since starting at Jo Kelly. You’re brilliant, funny, kind and warm! I love getting to work with you every day and I’m so glad I got to see you win this award. You are so deserving!" -Gabby
"Ashley is one of the hardest working and caring people I know. She cares so deeply for the students here at Jo Kelly and goes above and beyond her job duties to take care of them. As a mom of four with lots of things going on in her life, I admire how much she devotes to the students here at school with kindness and a smile. I do not know what we would do without her in the nurses office and I am so grateful to be able to work alongside her every day. I cannot think of a more deserving person of this award. She deserves this and so much more." -Brittany
"I can easily see why Ms. Ashley won Professional of the Year for our sweet school. I watch her each day use her expertise to ensure that all of the students on her caseload receive everything they need. She responds immediately to emergencies and the needs of other students in classes not on her caseload. She passionately shares her thoughts and concerns with me at any given time. She is the best!"
